Lets just begin with saying that this is a fantastic book! It's so fast paced. I've read it in two days.
This book has everything I need in a good dystopian book. A lot of action, great world building, an interesting romance story and kick-ass characters.
This story has two point of views. A boy and a girl.
Letst start with June, the girl. She is amazing! She is so kick-ass and so smart. Sometimes she gave me Sherlock Holmes feelings. I love her, I think she might be one of my favorite female book characters ever.
Than we have Day, de boy. I really love Day. He is also very kick-ass but also very sweet in some way. He cares so much about the people he loves, and that made me love hem. He is also very smart, but not as smart as June. I think I like June a little bit more that Day, but I still really love him.
The things that happen in the book are insane! Marie Lu knows how to create awesome action scenes. There also happened some sad things, but I didn't cry.
The plot is so good and everything comes together so well.
The world is very interesting, and in this first book you don't learn to much about it, but enough for the story.
(I already read the second book, prodigy, and there is a lot more world building in that book.)
To sum everything up, I actually just loved everything about this book.
I think that of you're looking for a good dystopian book, you should read this book. I maybe love it ever more than Divergent and The Hunger Games. (JUST SAYING: This book is not like the Hunger Games OR Divergent!! It's a story all on his own!)
