Half Bad || Book Review || Spoiler Free

Half Bad follows a boy named Nathan, and Nathan lives in a world where good witches (white) and bad witches (black) exist. Only.. Nathan is a bit differed from the rest.. he is Half black, Half white. His fathers (black) is the most evil witch out there and his mother is dead. The government don’t know what to do with Nathan, so they put him in a cage.

Sorry if my synopsis of the books is a little bit confusing but i’s hard to explain what this story is about.
This book was intense! Half Bad is an amazing story, beautifully written and very strong characters. I love this book and how unique it is!
In the very beginning of the story, it is written in a second person. Nathan is constantly saying ‘you’ like: ‘you’re lying on the ground’. I thought it was a really weird but interesting at the same time. It is a good way to introduce you to the situation. But after a few pages it turns into a first person writing. I was glad that happened because I think first person is much easier to read from.
The story was very unique and interesting. Not very fasted paced, but i didn’t mind that. I think this book was a little bit slower because it is a setting up for the rest of the series.
Than we have the Characters. I’m not going very deep into de differed characters because there are a lot and there is no one but Nathan who is in the book the entire time. But I can tell that the characters were really well written.
The relation ships between Nathan and his (half) brother -Arran-  was so sweet and heart warming. I really love Arran and his personality.
Nathan is one of the strongest characters I’ve ever ‘none’. In this book he goes through terrible things but he stays so strong. I really felt for hem while I was reading about al the bad stuff that happened to him. (In some ways this book is very depressing)
The romance in this story was sweet but not very concerning. I really love Nathan and Annalise but at some points I just didn’t believe their relationship. I wasn’t irritated by it, the romance is just not the best part of the book (which i don’t mind).
Overall I really liked this book. I absolutely can’t wait for the sequel! If you haven’t read it, you diffidently should! If you have read it, please talk to me about it because there is so much I want to discuss!  ( i mean, the ending O M G)
Thanks for reading my review!
