This story was in one word wonderful.
I had really high expectations for this book and it definitely did lift up to those expectations.
Let me start with the characters Aristotle and Dante. So expertly different but also so alike. The relationship between them felt so powerful. The way they talked with each other and the way they could see into each others head was beautiful. Their friendship felt so real.
I also really loved both characters individually. Aristotle is very dark and doesn't like to be around people. I think you can say that most of the time, Aristotle is stuck in his own head, lost in his own thoughts.
Dante is more an open person. He is someone who talks to people when something is bothering him, whilst Aristotle keeps it all to himself.
Dante is really sweet and almost innocent. I see Dante as that person who can put a smile on literally everyones face.
I really loved how much of the emotion I could feel whist reading this book. In the beginning I just randomly felt like crying because the emotion I got from the way it's written and from how the characters are overwhelmed me. At that moment I knew this book would definitely made it high on my all-time favorites list.
I also really enjoyed that the families of both the boys had a big part in the story. I for some reason really like to read about family situations in YA literature.
Overall, I really loved this book. It for sure is one of my new favorites and I feel like everyone has to read this book once in their life. Just because I feel the way these characters are written makes them feel so real but also special.
As soon as I finished this book, I wanted to re-read it, which almost never happens to me.
I really hope everyone will read this book and enjoy it as much as I did!
Now I'm scared that I'm getting expectations up to high, so keep in mind that when I find something absolutely amazing, you'll maybe find it not so good. I always recommend you to go into a book open minded!
