We Were Liars || Review || Spoiler Free

Hello everyone!
Here is my review for We Were Liars written by E. Lockhart.
I think the best way to go into this book is when you don't know what it is about. And if I should give you synopsis about this book I'm scared that I maybe spoil you.
So here is the (very vague) blurb on the back of the book:

A beautiful and distinguished family.

A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.

This review has NO spoilers in it, so everyone can read it :)

Before I started reading this book I already had heard a lot of things about it. Mostly positive, but there were also some people disappointed by this book. The reviews from positive people were mostly talking about the end and how shocking it was.
All this made me have NO expectations for everything that would come before the end.
I think that is why I loved this book so much as I did. The story, the writing style, the mysterious way of telling a story. It was just so good.
For some reason it felt so real to me.

In the beginning it took me a few pages to get used to the writing style, but when I'd got used to it, I loved it. E. Lockhart is a wonderful author and I really want to read more of her books.

I think the characters were very interesting. They weren't those cliché characters like, the funny one, the sweet one and that kind of stuff.

The plot was amazing. It kept me hooked from the first page.  Everything was so well done and woven together beautifully. The plot was very dark but at the same time it had something happy because it was all in the summer and they did summery things.

For some reason I wasn't really shocked by the ending. I cried, but I wasn't completely blown away. I think the ending is a lot sadder as you think about it a little while. It didn't bother me that I wasn't shocked by the end. I think it was a good end (and a little confusing, but yeah).

I really loved this book. It is really dear to me now I've read it.
It's just so good!!!
Everyone should read. If don't get your expectations to high you'll probably like it. ;)
