To save their relationship, all Owen needs to do is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin.
This book surprised me in the best way possible. I am not a big fan of romance and drama, but this book I really did enjoy!
When I think of New Adult romance I think of hunky bad boy guys that somehow change the female for the better and a very steamy relationship with loads of drama. This, I don't really enjoy reading about. Still people kept recommending me Colleen Hoover's NA books. So I picked up one and, like all the other people I know, I loved it.Let me start with saying that I really loved the duo point of views! They were done really well and it made me love both the characters more. This is because I got to see how they see themselves and then how they were seen by the one who loves them. This made both characters more dimensional.
The further I got into the book, the more I grew to love the characters. This was mostly because the more the story progresses, the more you learned about what happened to the characters in the past, which made me realize how much I respected these characters.
I also loved that the male protagonist, Owen, was so different form a cliché NA male protagonist. He was funny, sweet, quirky and even a bit odd and awkward.
The plot of the book was very captivating. I read this book in one day which I hadn't done in a very long time.
In the beginning everything is so mysterious. Thing happened in the past of the characters that we don't know about yet. You get small clues about what might have happened and I just kept reading and reading because I wanted to know what happened.
The love story I also liked a lot, even though it seemed a little insta-love but it was done very well.
The one thing I love most in this book, though, is Owen's art-studio. He let people send in confessions and out of these confessions he makes art pieces. We even get to see pictures of the art pieces in this book.
In the beginning of the book Colleen tells us that all the confessions are send in by real people that read her books. Some of the confessions really broke my heart. It gave so much more meaning to the story as well.
So, unexpectedly, I really enjoyed myself reading this book and I really do recommend it!
If you see any grammar and/or spelling errors, please tell me! English is not my first language, I'm still learning!
