December Wrap-up // January TBR

This december I've only read a total of 3 books. One of them I had to read my dutch class, so I'm not even going to add that one into this wrap-up because I don't think any of you are interested in that book.
So for the wrap-up I only have 2 books to talk about.

The fist book I've finished in December was:

The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan.
Third book in The Heroes of Olympus series
5 stars

So.. I've started reading this book in the beginning of Augustus and now, after 3 months I have finally finished it. The reason that it took me so long was NOT because I didn't enjoy the book. I just got in a massive reading slump and I didn't really have a lot of time to read sadly. But this December I finally got out of my reading slump!
I loved The Mark of Athena a lot! It is my favorite of The Heroes of Olympus series so far. I can't tell you guys a lot about the plot, but these books are about demi-god (half human, half god). There was a lot of action, a lot of funny parts, some really adorable and cute parts. The characters in this series are amazing. I just love Rick Riordan's books! So I gave it 5 out of 5 stars!

The second book I've read in December was:

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.
First book in The Mortal Instruments series
5 Stars

This was a re-read for me. I've decided to re-read this series because it's my favorite series of all time. Actually, the fist time I read the first 5 books of this series was in the end of 2013, so I thought that now, in the end of 2014, was a good time to re-read them. It brought back all the feels. It made me so happy to be back in this amazing world with all these characters that I love so much.
This book is about shadow-hunters (humans with blood of an angel), they protect the world from Demons. There are also a lot of other creatures like faeries, vampires and others. The normal humans don't know about the existence of any of these. This human girl, called Clary, gets intertwined with the shadow-hunter world when her mother gets kidnaped, a lot of stuff happens from then but I'm scared that I will spoil you if I tell you more. Just read the series if you haven't yet.
After re-reading this book I gave it again, 5 out of 5 stars!

There are the two books I've read this month.

Now on to my January TBR
If you have read my 2015 Resolutions blog post, you would know that every month I take out a reading challenge of my TBR-jar.
My reading challenge for this month is: Read a book over 500 pages.

This month I'm planning on continuing reading The Mortal Instruments series.
This month I want to read at least:
City of Ashes
City of Glass

I also have to read another book for my dutch class. So that will be my TBR for January.
City of Glass is 541 pages, so if I read that book this month, I will accomplish my challenge!

Let me know what you've read in December and what you're planning on reading this month,
Big love!
