Carry On || Review || Spoiler Free

It has been a while since I've had so much fun reading a book as I had whilst reading Carry On. Carry On was a christmas gift to me this christmas and I wasn't planning on reading it right away because I was in the middle of another book that I was really loving. I just wanted to read the first page of Carry On to get a feel for the book, but then, all of a sudden, I was on page 50 and then there was no going back. I think that says a lot about this book. Title: Carry On Author: Rainbow Rowell Format: Hardcover Page count: 522 Rating: 5/5 stars Synopsis:   Simon Snow is the worst chosen one who’s ever been chosen. That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right. Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing Sim...

The Rose Society || Review || Spoiler Free

Title: The Rose Society Series: Book 2 in the Young Elites trilogy Author: Marie Lu Format: Hardcover Page count: 395 Rating: 5 stars! With this book Marie Lu took a big step from The Young Elites. This sequel is all you could ask for in a sequel. It contains a lot of action, great character development and the story also develops a lot in this book. Of course, since this book is a sequel, I won't write down the synopsis of this book, but I do have a review of the first book which contains a synopsis of the first book. You can find that review here .  The characters in this book are all fantastic if you ask me. There is not one character that feels flat to me in this huge cast. Everyone is interesting and twisted. I don't think there are characters in this story that you can look at as the good guy(s).  Both new and old characters in this book are really well written.  Throughout this book Adelina became a much cruel and stronger anti-hero. I don...

Amy & Roger's Epic Detour || Review || Spoiler Free

I must say, I am very happy I did. An old family friend, he also has to make the cross-country trip - and has plenty of baggage of his own.  The road home may be unfamiliar - especially with their friendship venturing into uncharted territory - but together, Amy and Roger will figure out how to map their way.  I liked this book way more...

The Program || Review || Spoiler Free

Title: The Program Series: Book 1 in the Program Duology Author: Suzanne Young Format: Paperback Page count: 432 Rating: 4.5 stars Synopsis: Sloane knows better than to cry in front of anyone. With suicide now an international epidemic, one outburst could land her in The Program, the only proven course of treatment. Sloane’s parents have already lost one child; Sloane knows they’ll do anything to keep her alive. She also knows that everyone who’s been through The Program returns as a blank slate. Because their depression is gone—but so are their memories. The Program is an intense and heartbreaking story that comes closer to our life than all the dystopian books I've read. With most dystopian books you don't really see the story play out in our world in at least 100 years. For example: what happens in the Hunger Games will probably never happen, and if it does it will take at least a hundred years to get there. But then you have the Program which I feel can ...
