Title: The Program Series: Book 1 in the Program Duology Author: Suzanne Young Format: Paperback Page count: 432 Rating: 4.5 stars Synopsis: Sloane knows better than to cry in front of anyone. With suicide now an international epidemic, one outburst could land her in The Program, the only proven course of treatment. Sloane’s parents have already lost one child; Sloane knows they’ll do anything to keep her alive. She also knows that everyone who’s been through The Program returns as a blank slate. Because their depression is gone—but so are their memories. The Program is an intense and heartbreaking story that comes closer to our life than all the dystopian books I've read. With most dystopian books you don't really see the story play out in our world in at least 100 years. For example: what happens in the Hunger Games will probably never happen, and if it does it will take at least a hundred years to get there. But then you have the Program which I feel can ...

Title: The Young Elites Series: fist book in The Young Elites trilogy Author: Marie Lu Format: Hard cover Page count: 355 Rating: 5/5 stars Synopsys: This is a story about a group of kids(teens) who have survived and terrible disease. Somehow, some of these people who have survived, have now powers. These people are called The Young Elites.  The queen wants them all killed.  I am a big fan of Marie Lu. I absolutely love the Legend trilogy, it's one of my favorite trilogies ever. So, as you can probably guess, I had quite high hopes of The Young Elites. Luckily, this book did not disappoint! The World The Young Elites is set in a world that is made up. It's fantasy, but not high-fantasy. There is no such a thing as a magic system or mythical creatures. The only thing in this world that is magical are the Young Elites. Even though the world wasn't that special, I really loved it. I liked the atmosphere and the culture in this world a lot. The Characters No...

End of Days || Book Review || Spoiler Free

Title: End of Days Series: Third book in Penryn & the End of Days trilogy Author: Susan Ee Format: Paperback Page Count: 344 Rating: 5/5 stars This was an amazing conclusion to a fantastic trilogy! It definitely lifted up to all my expectations! It was kick-ass, heartbreaking, scary and, like the other two books, full of humor. This books starts right where world after ends. It's all just as past paced and action packed as I wanted it to be. I hadn't realized how much I had missed Penryn and Raffe. They are so funny, snarky and cute. I absolutely love them, as individuals and as a pair. Penryn and Raffe are not the only characters that I had missed, it was so good to see the twins again. They're hilarious! The humor in this book was very important for me. This is because everything that happens in this book, the way humanity is getting destroyed, the heartbreaking things the angels do to the people are just so heartbreaking to read about. It had me in t...

One day, when Kestrel and her best friend Jess are at a slave market, Kestrel buys a Herrani slave without planning it. This slave changes a lot in the life of Kestrel, but the slave is holding something from her..  My review I can safely say that The Winner's Curse is one of my new favorite books! It's very original. The Winner's Curse is considered as a fantasy book, but it does not really have a lot of fantasy elements. The only thing that makes it fantasy is that it takes place in another world. I loved this book a lot, I flew through it! The World The world, for a fantasy wor...
